As a registered nurse, I’ve seen how mental health can be both inspiring and heartbreaking. Watching clients thrive on treatment plans is one of the most beautiful things. But seeing others struggle—often because the medications that helped them also came with heavy side effects—left me feeling powerless. For a long time, I avoided mental health work because I didn’t have the answers.
